Looks sweet, this should be a lot of fun to follow. Good luck, repairing EM machines is a whole other field compared to video games so I never looked into them. Really awesome to play a working one though. Good luck with this!
On a side note somewhat related to controls, when testing the steering wheel I noticed that once I passed a certain point while turning left the potentiometer would drop on its own all the way to the bottom. This causes some veering unless you hold the wheel off center to the right while driving...
I went into the test menu and got the min/max values for the break and gas. The min for both were 1fh, the max for break was CFH and the max for gas was D0H. The manual says for max break it's CB and max gas is D5 so I think I need to adjust the gas a bit. Does that seem right?

EDIT: found a working chassis. Thanks everyone for the help.
Looking for a G07 chassis. Would prefer a working one but would entertain offers from a non working one. Please PM me if you have one available. Thanks

I checked ic2 and it was fine. I have replaced 2n3055 so that is not the issue. Pin 3 is giving the same voltage as testing +12 on the board, at around 11.74
I've been working on my robotron and I still have some problems with the power supply and it's not working 100%. Both the + and -5 volts are good, within .05 volts of perfect. The 12 volts, however, has been off at around 11.72 volts. I have done the deluxe repair kit from bob roberts and...
