I'm using the red/white outputs from the CPS2 A board to a pair of powered monitors that have red/white inputs. These are expensive studio monitors I'd like to have back. I found some old PC powered speakers (for a computer) and was wondering if I could use those?
I just bought a cable from...
This is with a Super Street Fighter 2: X from Japan.
The game plays great, and the stereo outputs work fine for sound,
But I kinda wanted to use the overhead speakers in mono for less cords/so I could have my powered monitors back.
When wired up, they output nothing when the game is started...
I blew my only monitor and want to check if the CPS2 A/B made it out alive, but I don't have a monitor and I can't get into the settings to see if the sound is on mono or stereo, and I don't have any speakers to test with.
Is there a way using a multimeter to test this to see if it still works...
I found a video someone uploaded that has the exact same issue as I have.
Evidently what I have is a 9000 with a fan... for some reason some came with a fan and some didn't. This issue happens on 9110's as well. Maybe this can help explain my problem better...
I don't know half the things you said. I need a monitor for dummies book!
Yes! After this happened, I smelled heat and it was from that wide white looking thing on the right hand side.
Please do! I've seen many cases of this on the internet, but no one ever posted their fixes! I'll gladly...
From doing some searching I see this is a common problem that happens, but no one has seemed to of solved it yet. I was getting a blue image and then I flipped the only switch I noticed on the back to test what it was and then the fan stopped, and the image faded.
I seem to have the same...
No, I labeled it to place it on correctly, and the fan gets power and the board runs.
I think I narrowed it down to a monitor problem, as it's completely fried now (I think). The fan twitches but never turns on, and there is no image on the screen at all now. I hear the caps turning on and the...
I did not!
The CPS 2 B board has a brand new battery, and like I said, it was working perfectly. I don't have another game to plug in, sadly.
I probably burnt up some motor in the monitor, I'm sure.
Pretty frustrating! Thank you for your help! Wish I didn't have to throw down 300 bucks on a...
Welp, I just turned it on, smelt burning, fan stopped turning, and signal went from blue to 0. I'm so sick of this arcade bullcrap I could scream. Why doesn't anything just WORK. :( time to drink myself into depression.
I'm not super handy with a multimeter, but I plugged it into the wall outlet to make sure it was measuring right. It seemed to me all the places I touched showed it being 0.0 but I might be misusing it somehow.
The video is completely blue screen since changing the jamma harness, and it seems...
After getting a multimeter and learning how to use it, I placed the ground to the ground of the JAMMA harness, and started poking around. I got 0.0 flat readings on every single pin I touched. How is this possible if the board is getting power? What could be the problem?
