I'm not sure it was available as a coin-operated game, but I'm sure it wasn't only on that console. It was a cheap thing I think they just put some cheap abandoned games on it, and I found the original version of one of these games.

ah sorry but it's not that game either. I'm pretty sure I was playing as human. I remember animals running left and right and you had to lock them while they were in the cage and be careful not to touch them. I'm not sure but I think you could also kill them by making a rock fall on them...

Thanks for answering, but this is not the game I had in mind. The gameplay was different, you could just move around, jump, and close each cage when something's in it. It's not Jungle Hunt / Jungle King either. Thanks anyway, I'm still putting a lot of effort in finding this game but apparently...
