Still trying to get my head around the orginall circuit wiring if I can't sort it out by the week, i will have to resort to the direct filter board bypass job.
would be nice to keep it original .
Funny you mention the steering issue on the VR, my rally cab has a force feedback issue that...
Pheww, !! I got game and jumpered a ground point.
Lucky some one had hotwired a remote service and test switch at some point so i could safely identify a ground point. I cut and prodded, YEEHAAA, it works fine at this end, So bypassing the central buffer-filter board looks like it should work...
Thanks for the reply BK, all the the wiring harneses look ok, but your right i should check them with a multimeter.
i'm not clued up on IC's but i did notice the there is a 10+ legged IC that the wiring harness for the controls connects straight to.
I'm just praying that the PCB unit will...
My Sega rally cab has been working sweet since i got it.
now (today) it just boots up to the service screen.
the push button controls (start & View, coin, service, test) no longer appear to be working ( i can't navigate through the service menus).
Disconnecting a Molex type connector from the...
I jave heard you can make one by wrapping thick gauge wire in coils around a 6" piece of broom handle. ? and connecting the ends to a 12V car battery.
HAs any one done this, I cannot seen to find any info on the Web.
Cheers for that info, I have only just evolved from a mame-oholic to a geniuine AM collector, this stuff is a bit new to me. the working cab is bacially a clone of the bad one, so I will do a 1:1 test of every connection.
Ok now my prob is this, I agreed to swap one of my Lowboys "raystorm" with a another lowboy that looked a little more dedicated (robocop PCB and marquee/instruction card with a no burn-monitor).
The guy delivers it for the swap, how ever when I test it, the right joystick movement is not...
Re: has anyone run mame on a medium res arcade monitor
Success !!
I ticked the "ultra fine granduality" checkbox
then fiddled with the position and size nav buttons.
and fine tuned by clicking in the Pixel clock field and used the up/down arrows to adjust the "pixel clock" Mhz.
looks...
Re: has anyone run mame on a medium res arcade monitor

Re: has anyone run mame on a medium res arcade monitor
I have found a gret website to configure it for 24/25Khz.
http://home.insightbb.com/~shakie/SoftWare.htm
and there is not much chance of findig a 50" 15Khz monitor to put in the sega rally cab ;)
also for anypeeps interested, I figured I...
re: http://forums.webmagic.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=KLOVHELP&Number=142754&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1
It cannot be switched to std resolution, :(
I have googled my eyeballs to death and am now too confused to have a clue :S
My guess is Vsyncmame with a compatible...
Thanks for the help guys, it seems that all the sync splitters around including the Jamma adapters like the jpac and the MGCD just pass the sync through at the same rate as the source.
The only plausable option is a PC conection with a card like the Matrox G400 which can run at 24Khz, all the...
Affter google-ing for 2 hours straight I have come to the conclusion thats this is never going to happen, unless I find a switch on the monitor to run it in 15Khz mode, but I looked and cannot find, the monitor is a "Hitachi C50 24S" , 50 for 50" and 24 for the sync, so it appears to be locked...
