Hello everyone,
Finally got a break from keeping up on orders and other projects and I'm taking a look at updating the SRAM MCU as well as moving forward on the POKEY blade. This post is about the SRAM blade.
I'm gearing up to add some additional tests and I want to take a real good look at...
This is something that joemagiera has asked me to look into. Going through my files I see I had at one point started collecting some information, not much, on the Pokey. With this datasheet and some other information I've dug up I think I can start work on a blade for the Inquisitor.
However...
With more and more people asking for TTL tester..... Okay, it's on the list though it will be a while before it's ready.
As for a CPU blade... Not likely. Best way to test a CPU is to plug it into something that uses that CPU and give it a whirl. :)
No, that LED just won't work, that's about it. Everything else will be fine.
I would recommend figuring out which LED is incorrect though. The "Card Error" will light up if no card is installed. And the over-voltage will always be slightly lit, so both are easy to check.
Well, how would you (and anyone else interested) like to get your hands on a beta model? I've been thinking about starting a new program that would allow some users to purchase an early beta model and provide feedback and help with development. The purchase price would also include a production...
The idea of a 74xx tester has been brought up before, over on Pinside. I just don't see the need to develop a 74xx blade when there are already capable solutions available. A search on Ebay reveals a myriad of products that should serve the need just fine. Though, I'm not ruling out a 74xx blade...
No, I'm not offering a discount or trade in at this time.
I did offer a discount when the Inquisitor was first released, but that special expired several months ago.
I will also be offering newer blades at a discount for a short time after release, probably for the first month or so.
