Are these substitute boards available? Can you point me to them? I am in need of the bit shifter for my restoration, though solutions like these are wonderful and should be supported.
Can anyone point me to or provide a clean, legible scan of this monitor's schematic? I have an original document, though the mimeograph is difficult to read in parts. Hoping to render a useable document, but can't find an existing (clean) scan online.
Atari Operator's Handbook, the earlier and previously unavailable Kurz Kasch text is now available on Internet Archive. This scan includes high resolution pages, featuring Motorola B&W monitors, very early Atari schematics (Gotcha, QuadraPong & the like) etc. It's a fantastic resource if...
I'd like to confirm the identities for 3 transistors on my Space Invaders II power supply; which I foolishly ripped apart months ago and can no longer find my notes...

thats a relief. The 18-20 trifurcons did crimp with success, but you could tell they are at the physical limit, but the data sheet wasn’t wrong. Humble brag: my work looks better than what passed for acceptable in 1980’s Q/C
looks like the 18-20 Trifurcon are fine per the data sheet, they are appropriate for wire up to 2.79 mm, which is exactly the size I’m dealing with. It’s definitely the high end of what fits but with patience they all crimped very fine indeed.
I’m rebuilding my linear supply in my Defender upright. The power PCB is getting upgraded with square headers as well. I’m curious about the wire gauge at the output from the main transformer, I don’t see the wire size described in the literature or the insulation jackets.
I want to crimp...
These games run at a robust 1-2 MHz, so virtually any scope is a good candidate. Don’t overspend on “speed”—not needed here. I would highly recommend a dual trace mode, however. That is worth your time & money.
