As you can tell my level of experince is pretty low when it comes to things like this. I welcome instructor mode for sure. My electronic experience comes from cars and car stereo systems. My first dive into this was a Mrs PacMan cocktail that had a shorted degaus ring. That one took me a while...
First off let me thank you for your kind words and encouragement. As for checking resistance to ground. It would settle around 12.5 ohms on the meter. It would start around 30 and fall to 12.5. I will check out those Randy Fromm videos for sure.
No. The in circuit across R301 is 178 ohms. I wans't sure what you meant by checking resistance to ground. The .141 is using the ground or diode setting on my meter. I replaced the voltage regulator with what was in there (STR30130) I don't know what you mean by checking the jumpers. I doesn't...
I replaced the fuse with the correct one. Yes 0 voltage dc at R301. R301 is 178 ohm. The resistance across R301 is .141. I haven't checked for voltage at the fuse. The monitor is still in the game and I get a little nervous sticking my hand in there and poking around. Plus the game is at my...
Try to make a long story short. My brother was testing a game before buying. Everything was working fine and dandy at first and the the screen went black. Seller would turn it off and on then the screen would work. After a few times of that the seller seller said the fly back was sparking. This...
Thanks for the info. My brother picked up a cab that was originally a MKII, converted to some bowling game and then back to a MKIV. When they were test playing it the fly back started arching. Just wanted to make sure i ordered the correct fly back. Thanks again.
I'm pretty sure I have a WG-K7000. It's out of an MKII. There is a little homemade looking job above the fly back. I can't find anything like it on any of the pictures i can find on the internet. Hoping someone could shed a little light of what it is.
Yes. That is the adapter that I'm running. I just did a switch test. When I push Ms pac player two it lights the pac player 2 and the galaga player 1 at the same time. The push button I wired in does the same thing as the pac player 2 button. Just figured it out I think. I turned off one of the...
Thanks for all the replies and help. I was wrong about the adapter. I have the one from arcade shop. The jamma adapter is not numbered and I was counting the wrong side. What I thought was #23 was actually #6. As far as what to do for fire buttons I was leaning towards only player one being able...
I'm using a pac to jamma adapter from Mike's arcade. Pin 23 is a 12v positive. Am I looking at something wrong or is this adapter not going to work? I agree on not wanting to modify the original control panel.
