    Thanks for the reply - to check for cold solder joints, do you just re-heat the solder on each of them and add in a little more from the bottom of the board?

    Thanks - I replaced the connectors but that didn't help - on the idea of the optos - I saw that at one time Radio Shack sold an opto test card. It doesn't look like they do anymore - any idea where to get one so I could see if the opto was still working or not?
