Also, I went ahead and ordered the 5 volt counter, hopefully it will solve that problem. From what Alphatron said it should do the trick!
thanks for all the help!!!!
So I connected the light to the 5 volt screw on the power supply and it had the pale orange glow you described. I then plugged it into the 12 volt screw and it glowed nice and bright! The only problem is that the bulbs seem to heat up very quickly. It was too hot to touch after only a few...
So I've done my best to diagram my power situation. All the wires match up to the tmnt manual except for one extra fuse I have. I'm still (obviously) confused on where to connect my counter and coin door lights. The NBA Jam manual showed the connections for the coin door lights, but TMNT does...
The only reason it's relevant to me is because I've been so puzzled over the NBA Jam wiring diagram. All the colors are different in the TMNT cab. Sure enough the colors in the TMNT wiring diagram match up with my power supply.
So they come right off the transformer eh? I imagine this is the transformer. Could the empty plug be the correct pin to connect the wires? I assume I would need 1 power split 4 ways and a ground going to each?
Also, I looked up the TMNT manual and one of the pins from the jamma connector...
Fellas, this is a huge help. I don't know if you are willing to take pictures inside the casing :S but this is definitely something to go on. More pictures would be appreciated. Do you know where those yellow wires lead to on inside the silver casing?
Also, I THINK the coin door stickers may...
Thanks Alpha Tron.
Your machine doesn't look like it has any fuses, is that correct? Or are they inside that silver box? Also, those two little yellow wires going down toward the bottom of the picture...are they leading to the coin door lights?
I think I need to lead a wire from the...
Thanks Broodwich, good call on the coin door stickers. If this was formerly a Simpsons cab, then maybe I should look up the Simpson's wiring spec?
The coins are working properly with the jamma board, I can add a player and the game functions normally. The wiring to the coin door bulbs and the...

Thanks for the PM Shawn. This is a 4 player NBA Jam cab, with 4 coin doors (two with the coin input and two lock boxes.
I believe this is the same cab used for TMNT, Simpsons and maybe Mortal Kombat, so the power setup may be the same. Not sure on that one, but if anyone is familiar...
I gotta say, these boards are great. This is my first restore project and I've fixed a few things on my cab already from the great info on here.
I have a problem with my power setup due to a hack job from the previous owner. I think NBA jam is supposed to run off of 4 fuses, mine is running...
