Found the board and I think the rectifier...probably should replace rectifiers first? Rectifier? (from the schematic in the manual it was called out as an e-00602-007) http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/VJ248-KBPC802 This is the board they sell as a replacement...

Results don't look good. Does this mean rectifier are toast? I checked continuity of all fuses and all are fine.

Okay, I see, there are 5 output voltages on the other side if the rectifier. Off to test them.

Thanks...what should the output voltages be on the other side of the transformer? 24v?

I would think it would be safe to say I have not done that. What board...where to look and how to test?

According to the schematic I am testing 1 and 6 (earth ground)....but it is the outer 2 pins. I can check pin 12 to see what it gives me. The rectifier you speak of...is it on the Power Supply...I would guess so, right?

Took the day off...didn't get very far. Installed a new set of capacitors, the proper way, replaced the fuse that had blown in the power supply...and nothing. The lights on the machine, playfield and monitor do light up. Doesn't seem to be getting power to any of the boards. Neither the...

Oh shit, you mean...wow, I'll check that...man that sucks. I just followed arrows and assumed that they would point the same direction as the old.

So, got them all installed and tested the board before going to working on replacing the pots and got some odd results. Blank screen when I made it around to the front. Then it started up. I played the game for about 3 minutes and the entire game went dead. Lights and power to the monitor...

So, finally getting a couple hours undisturbed is quite a challenge. I too on the caps today. Got the new caps from Twisty something or other. Matched them up and changed them out.

Yeah, the brightness is high...I was just trying to find a hint of yellow. Turning it down and adjusting all the others to black background makes the yellow red. Since I found an issue with the green pot on the Vidiot, I'm going to change those out before trying again. Thanks

Cool! Thanks for the tip! I was wondering where I should start and which rgb's to do the major adjusting.

    Baby Pac monitor issues

I just have the green turned almost completely down on the pots on the neck board of the monitor. I'll check those connections though. I replaced some of the connections previously...so I might have alleviated that issue. Looks like I am going to be pulling the board and installing my cap kit...

Okay, found the test screen on the Vidiot board. Tried adjusting again and got really no where...might be worse now. I adjusted the rgb pots on the Vidiot board also...r and b did make changes...but the green didn't change anything...wondering of the green pot isn't working.
