I set up Waverunner GP in a standup cabinet using a Crazy Taxi steering wheel and Pedals (for the throttle). Had fun playing it for a while and reminded me of Wave Race 64. I also played one of the full motion cabinets add the Weirs Beach Arcade which was really cool but would take up a whole...
Ok, I guess they changed the location of the Triforce for the US model, your model is more like the Daytona USA 2/Crazy Taxi layout. The Japanese model manual I looked at made it appear as though they were in the back (but maybe there is a dual cab variant this manual is for):
Then you will need a small router to plug in the connection from the Triforce PCB and the Camera as well as the second unit so that they network together (mine is silver but isn’t plugged in but it is sitting right below the Triforce unit)
Mine has a port directly on the Triforce unit, that connects via Ethernet cable to a small router where the other unit’s Ethernet cable plugs in. I can send a picture later tonight to illustrate
I misread the title, I thought that you were advertising that you build roofs exclusively that cover arcade games. I was going to say that must be a really niche market but what you are actually offering makes much more sense 😀
Ha ha, yeah my basement was already full, I met two guys that worked on my house that each had a side business and loved the basement arcade so much they wanted to add arcades in to their side businesses. One has a laundromat with a fairly large side room and one has an antique shop so when I...
I paid $800 for it stand alone, but separately was able to get the Skee Ball for $800 (which I would value at $3k to $4k, so made it up on that side). Also was able to get 5 games (1942, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Street Fighter 2 and a couple Buck Hunters) for about $350 each that just had...
Yeah I was disappointed that the PCB wasn’t in the cabinet, the owner of the barcade that closed where this game came from just had cursory knowledge of the games. Most of the games came from the 1UP arcade in Colorado (he knew one of the owners) so if a game came to him with a 60-in-1 board...
Thanks! That’s a good idea and a good roadmap for getting it back to original. I’ll see if I can source the monitor and PCB and then those components should get me the rest of the way.
I’m hoping I’ll run across a DK with a bad cabinet that I can transplant into this cabinet (cabinet itself is in great shape and I was able to clean and reassemble the joystick). Right now people are playing it as is and having a good time with it but would be awesome to get it back to the way...
I’ve been using a 10 foot utility trailer plus a sheet of plywood to help roll games onto the trailer. Since you don’t have to roll up very high (like a box truck and ramp) or lift the game (like a truck bed), it has been fairly easy. Probably a liftgate on a truck would be easier but a lot more...
