Don't forget shipping is ridiculous now too. I haven't shipped a game in awhile but sounds like beltman is very pricey now and also you have to pay the captain a fee on hammer price.
I so need to complete this. I bought a parts organizer. I've accumulated a lot of overflow and have more than once put in an order for something only to later realize I had what I needed already!
I have acquired all the pieces required to bring this back to former glory. Don't see myself getting to this before winter hibernation and it would still probably not get done next year so hoping to pass along as a lot at a discount to what it would cost to source everything... I will part out...
Looks to be complete sans the Atari steering caps. Steering wheels are not too sticky and all the encoders are there but will need some TLC as I see some wire and pin hacks. $250 cash pickup. I assume shipping would be insane but can try if someone really wants it shipped.
Nope. All pcb related.
Are you saying it's expected until board is powered up? I have a CS pcb that doesn't show as a dead short when powered off.
R116 and R117 test ok out of circuit. I pulled the caps too and none are shorted unfortunately.
Gonna walk the board with magnifying glass. See...
I pulled C139 and not the issue. short is still there.
For my own curiosity, I pulled the ls244 where right coin switch goes. I thought maybe this chip failed and started the short but it's also testing good out of circuit.
Is it whack-a-mole time? Pull the ceramics one by one on the 5v rail?
I did not. I just put the multimeter down and sobbed for spell when the short was still there after removing 141. Kind of had to walk away...
I will check this one tonight though!
