You can buy a Canadian Tire multimeter that goes on sale for about $30 that will do most of what you need to repair arcade or pinball. The most important thing I've found is that it needs to be able to measure the voltage drop across a diode or transistor for troubleshooting. If you are dead...
I have no problem making the loop on my machine, and usually make several times every time I play the pinball. Maybe your flipper is a little weak or sloppy?
I owned a Force 2 for about 6 months. It was okay, for a little while, but will get boring way too fast. It is very easy to master, and you will be able to get the score to wrap around several times in no time at all. The game has an unconventional layout, and probably would have been better...
If you change the MPU with a working one if you have a good hard drive imaage, it will definitely work. The video card off a Golden Tee Fore board will work if that is the problem as they are easier to find cheaper on ebay.
Changing the security chip and ROMS from a BBH board to a GT board...
The next thing you could try is changing the video card. I once had a GT 2003 that would reset after the hard drive load was complete. I first suspected it was the hard drive and when that didn't work I swapped the video card out of another GT board. It's easy to do if you have another board...
Well I tried changing out the TDA4605, and it fired right up with the 2SC4532 HOT. I guess all that's left it to check to make sure the B+ voltage is set correctly, order the proper HOT, and get me some bipolar hi-freq caps.
I noticed on the www.pinrepair.com/rush/ it says to use either of...
Both HOTs still check out good with a multimeter. I checked for B+ at R117 and am getting 0V. I checked the resistors in the power supply section and they appear to be good. Could the TDA4605-15 controller chip be bad? I have a couple TDA4605-3, I'm assuming they are compatible?
In my other rush monitor, it was using a BU2532AX, so I assumed the BU2532DF would work. The 2SC4532 was in there when I got it. I guess I'll check the B+ and order a couple 2SD1879.
I have a 27E chassis out of a SF rush the rock that has been giving me some problems. The chassis originally worked when I got it, and died after 2 days of playing it. I recapped the chassis based on the info at www.pinrepair.com/rush/ with the exception of the 5.6uf bipolar as I ordered the...
Most likely it is a bad hard drive. I had the same issue with a golden tee 2005 green board ( Same board as Buck hunter) that I bought off ebay a few years ago. I replaced the hard drive and everything worked fine. You can usually get a hard drive off ebay for about $25 plus shipping.
Does anybody know if Egg Venture can be converted to Egg Venture Deluxe, with a ROM swap or reprogramming. If anyone has done this could you let me know which ROMs need reprogramming. I'm assuming I can just use the mame ROM images?
