I agree, get you cap kit from Bob Roberts! I ordered a cap kit from him and received it promptly and the copy of the capacitor list had hand written 2 more electrolytic caps (included, no extra charge) stating these caps were now needed.

If I remember correctly the Warlords board can be used in the upright and cocktail machines. The upright used black n white mode with a colorized overlay. The cocktail utilized true color. Check the dip switch setting, maybe a cold solder joint or something else switching between modes.

I like alot of fighting games but the Namco's Soul Calibur series has to be one of my favorites.

I would have to agree with meta, If you have access to a ROM or EPROM programmer you could download a working image and check the checksum of all suspected chips to find the one(s) that could be the culprit. When found reburn its image and you should be good to go. I had a similar problem with...

Typically, there should be a service switch to get you to the game setup screens. I believe on mine the OS vers. is listed on the left bottom of the screen.
