I agree with most people going with Laminate I'm a fan of it.
I did have some holes to fill & repair, plus the wood on the cabinet needed extra love to preserve it.
It's a small area on the front where the coin doors are & the control box so laminate is nice but wasn't something it needed for...
I believe in that principle when it comes to money work smarter not harder but for Arcade restoration yes definitely your method works great too but I think my method works good too.
I was thinking of that as an option but I figured I do it the hard way with sanding primer again sand & Hvlp spray paint, I’ve had positive results with this method
Hello everyone
I need a quick suggestion, I'm restoring a Simpsons Arcade machine & I need paint both the control panel box & front of cabinet by the coin door panel.
I'm using oil base paint using paint gun.
My Question is which type of color Black should I use? Flat Black or Black Satin?
Thanks
I would love too if it wasn't that expensive to ship out lol. So far I've had 4 out of state offers & 6 people locally in CA who wanted to buy but to no avail & flaked out last min.
Also 3 people who wanted me to gut out all the wire harness /parts & to ship out for parts but didn't want to pay...
Thanks and yes I agree it’s really a great deal especially since all the internals, harnesses, transformer etc is in tact.
I also have the board to sell separately too, I’m not sure how much longer i’ll have it but i’ll update & let you know if anything happens.

kombat 2 arcade machine control panel box, "Parts" what you see in photo is everything that is included with item.
Front of panel is spray painted black but original art is underneath & possibly salvageable if removed with properly with products like citrus strip...
