Thanks all - I just got this display, not sure if recapped but will be doing it myself soon, will try to verify correct polarity. Weird that a cap issue would cause such a localized issue, but happy it might be fixed that way.

See attached - K4800 in a baby pac - there's lots wrong, but what I can't find an answer for is a small black splotch that starts off tiny/nonexistent but over the course of a few mins grows to what you see pictured. Any thoughts on cause? thanks in advance-

There's an invaders and sea wolf in my area. Former is working, looks to be in very good condition. Latter a bit more worn maybe 6/10 has neck glow but dead otherwise. They're looking for $1000 for the pair or $1300 deliv (sea wolf is a beast). First cabs! Would be interesting one to start...
