Just on past experience ...... I would sand the cab down to the wood, paint, stencil & put on new T-Molding. This is very inexpensive and the true cost will be your time. But, it will be a beautiful cabinet again and will motivate you more to get this baby back to what it was originally...

It's been a long time for me and I was hoping that there is a rebuild kit for the Star Wars yokes. There used to be a lot of chatter on this many years ago, but I'm having trouble finding anything up to date.
