yeah he said his son tried to fix it a while back. He also had two wires crossed on the solenoids down there but i found that one early on, because the game would not work right at all with them reversed. Atleast it kinda worked with the switches mixed up.
This ended up being the problem. All switches were working and registering correctly. What was wrong was the person who owned it before me switched the wires on the second and third switch. After I unsoldered the wires and switched them everything is working perfectly.
Thanks for the help guys.
this is a good possibility i was not thinking of!! Maybe when the ball is "resting" next to the other one and then the early ones fall in line the last may not because of a divot. This would explain all optos and switches working but the ball may not be moving into place from the 4th trough to...
I have tested the ball troughs multiple times and it always triggers one opto at a time. Wel the first one triggers the other five real quick when passing by, but where it rests it only triggers one. I did this last night added balls one by one and watched the closed optos turn open 1 by 1...
Hey guys i have a popeye machine that is having trouble with the bluto multiball.
Let me start by saying i have evrything working 100% in the menus and single test switches. I can go into the multiball test through the menus and everything works correctly.
Now my issue is i can hit the two...
LOL. I was just wondering why he was thinking what he was. No disrespect what so ever. Ken has helped me out specifically a few times and numerous others by reading what he wrote to others in the forum.
how so? It is easily a $1000 game. The boards he needs was quoted to him for $500 new, and he has $100 into it. So for $600 he has a $1000 game. Seems like he comes out ahead if you dont count time into it. Would love to pick up a royal rumble like that!

So ken you are saying i should get some of the self tapping slit ones instead of the pointed ones? The pointed ones are what is in my machine now. I have two fairly big ramps that have come off the bottom and i need to screw them back up there. the screws are gone but i have taken them out of...
hey guys i just bought a popeye pinball machine. (I know its not a highly coveted machine)
I am having some problems with finding replacement screws for the underside of the playfield. Specifically i need the screws that hold the big metal troughs under the playfield. I took a sample out of...
i believe that you can mount any way you want. So just flip the d-type around. resistors are not directional so it should not matter if it was flipped around.
it looks like he doesnt have the f-type in 500 ohms. i would go with a d-type 500 ohms. same footprint but prob a little deeper because the wheel is a knob instead.
just looking to find out where i can get one of these. I have a Tee'd Off pinball machine and it will make odd beeps and sounds every now and then. reseating this chip seems to help it for a while but it gets very hot compared to everything else on the board. cant seem to find this chip to...
