Street Fighter 2 Machine, what else can I check?

Most SF2 boards are pretty picky about 5v. There may be other problems, but swapping out that PSU is definitely the first thing to do.

    Need help identifying electronic component

Excellent information guys, thanks! I removed another of those spark gaps, and they do indeed test open out of circuit. I guess my hunt for the problem continues.

    Need help identifying electronic component

Ken, I think you're onto something. I figure it's gotta be like some sort of a fuse. I took it out of the circuit and it's wide open. The others on the board are all closed/pass continuity tests. Looking very closely at one end, it looks like it popped a little... maybe letting out the gas and...

    Need help identifying electronic component

It's the power supply board from an LCD panel that's in a Street Fighter 4 cab. The board is a DPS-178AP. The panel itself is a Sharp Aquos LCD.

    Need help identifying electronic component

Heya Dokert, I've attached another picture with the item in question circled in red. Are you sure you're talking about that component? Below that is a grounding screw point... The circled component is present in several locations, some nowhere near a grounding screw. They also have varying...

How do you demagnetize a monitor frame?

I've got a 25" WG K7000 series monitor with some discoloration issues on the top left and bottom right. I've degaussed it 6 times with a degaussing coil and it still hasnt gotten better. If I take a strong magnet and brush it (in one particular direction) along the frame near the discoloration...

Graviz, you're thinking of the 10xx-in-1 PC based boards. This is a totally different board. R3LL1K, all of the regular SF2's run poorly.

    FS:Multi's,Multi's ,Multi's sale

Hey guys, So I've given the 302-in-1 board a decent run through. Here's the main things to note: - The Neo-Geo games I tested ran well. Loaded up some Metal Slugs, Puzzle Bobble, and a couple of KOF's. Some screen tearing and sometimes the sounds are a little off, but overall it's acceptable...
