Adjusting the pot had no effect on the picture, it was the first thing we tried before pulling the boards out.

I did get into the menu via the VGA monitor, and yes it's arcade legends 1, version 2.05 Had to chase down the USBlinx keybinding chart to find which was the menu key on the keyboard 'E' is the correct answer there. There's no horizontal hold adjust on the adjustment board for this monitor...

Left picture is the monitor chassis and the PC wiring. Right picture is the SN label on the chassis. Forcing the parallel port to ON causes my VGA monitor to drop the image after booting the kernal.
