The old smoke stained control panel stripped down, plexi removed` completely stripped down. Used a blow dryer to remove the decal. REPRODUCTION CONTROL PANEL OVERLAY APPLIED! I didn't measure properly and missed at the top...but it looks pretty good!

Where did you get your overlay? I got mine from arcade overlays and it looks pretty good for only about 30ish before shipping. You should adjust the joysticks still, like someone said the e-clip isn't on correctly. they're really low.

I also don't get the "Kids play with consoles". I mean...really? It's your cab and all but I mean, it's all just video games and the MVS is really nothing more than a GIANT Neo Geo AES console (with different bios and cartridge but the same rom chips...). besides that, the ridiculous control...

those joysticks also look awfully low.

Yeah, it's a nice looking on. Noting too major. No wood rot, no water logging, the monitor needs MINOR adjusting and it has a VERY slight burn in that you can't really notice. The Player 2 coin return needs a new bulb, coin door needs a new lock, there's a chunk out of the front corner missing...

well this one has holes in it and a very obvious fold that i'd like to get rid of.

ah now the great debate...to plexi or to bondo...plexi seems easier... also, what's the thinnest plexi you should use? the stuff here seems REALLY thick, messes up the throw on the arcade sticks a bit.

no no. Control Panel, i'm thinking abou buying new plexi instead of bondoing over the holes in the metal CP. Can I just put the overlay on without the plexi, will the holes effect it at all?

the plexi is almost a quarter inch thick, it has holes from whatever it used to be. could I NOT use the plexi? this is the first machine I've owned, will the holes cause problems for the replacement overlay? The plexi is smoke stained and I'd like to remove it. If I could avoid replacing it with...

this one is glass, but I'm going to replace it with plexi. It has rough cuts on the side, i adjusted it one day and it sliced the crap out of my hand. I'm talking about the cardboard underneath.

Well, last weekend the microswitch died in one of the HAPP Super sticks that came in my MVS cab. I threw in a spare I have, but figured...hell. While I'm at it, I might as well start restoring the fuckin' thing eh? And I happened to find ALL the keys, including the one to open the back...
