Thanks Ken....I will check out the settings.
If the bar is caused by the camera, then do you have any idea bout the wave in the screen? Do those voltages sound correct to you?
Thanks again for the help!
Jim
Ken,
Here is an image of the green glow I was talking about. Funny, when I look at the screen through the camera I see the bar that is moving up through the screen......I cannot see this with the naked eye, which is why i refered to it as a "wave"
You can see the green color in the...
I have a WG 7193 that has a wave in the picture. It also has a strange yellow-greenish glow that appears from time to time.
I have re-capped the chassis and thought that would be the fix....it wasn't. Any other ideas on what could be causing this?? Bad Flyback?? Thanks for any suggestions...
Jim
Yeah, I thought the drop was a lot as well. I hooked up all the ground wires (there are only 2 on my jamma harness). I will check over the weekend when I get a new arcade power supply and see if that is the problem. If not.........then I will be back here a postin' !!
Jim
Oh.....you meant the ROM chips?? I was checking the the smaller chips (hex inverters/gates/latches/etc). But I checked the ROM chips and they are at 4.74 4.75V as well (you were right pin 32!). I will have to wait for a new P/S and check then. Thanks for the help....if you think of anything...
Thanks,
I did what you said and checked the voltages at the chips on the pcb. The voltage at the jamma harness is +5.05V but the voltages at the chips are about +4.75V. I dont have datasheets on every chip, but I know most are +Vcc at pin 1. So I am getting 4.75 voltss at the chips......this...
I dropped my power supply, and now it doesn't work anymore. I hooked up an ATX power supply I had lying around from an unused computer. I checked all the voltages and they all were fine. Hooked it up, and everything was fine.
Then the graphics started to act a little unstable and twitchy...
DogP,
I ordered a cap kit last night from Bob. I figured even if that wasn't the problem, it can't hurt. How do I check the Horiz Hold frequency? O-scope (which I dont have)? Would the frequecy problem be constant or some of the time (only after I reset the game)?
Thanks for the advice...I...
As some of you may or may not know....I have had a problem with my 25" K7193 blowing fuses. I fixed that part but now have some quirky picture problems:
The screen is stable when I turn it on, but if I turn it off and then back on it will be scrambled like this:
If I leave it off for a bit...
Good to know.....as usual, you have a wealth of information in you Ken!
Not sure if you saw my other post but I found a shorted diode. Replacing it and seeing if that is the problem.....I will post the results!
Thanks,
Jim
I was wondering if any of you can help me understand this. I took out my HOT (WG7193) and tested it with my DMM.
Took out Q11 (HOT), and checked it with my ohms meter. Results:
B-E (+ on B): 51 Ohms
B-E (- on B): 51 Ohms
B-C (+ on B): 1.78M Ohms
B-C (- on B): Open
C-E (+ on E): 1.78M Ohms...
