I prefer the sit-down version too, no contest.
There was one of those in a local arcade way back when that came out, the loud speakers make it a cool way to experience the game. There is a pic of this cabinet in the archives of the "Atari Anniversary" game.

There are the recent Gauntlet games Legends and Dark Legacy where you play a feature unique character bashing enemies while collecting keys and treasures to upgrade your character
The coin-op includes a name/password feature that lets you end a game and resume your character another time
there is a old hack version pacman with that maze and the changes you see on there, I dont recall what it is called, but I have seen it a long time ago
there is also the ' [color=purple]newpuc</font color> ' hacks that use that maze
and if you have the recently released 'abc' board that maze...
