its a 5c machine. From the late 40's probably. Trying to figure out how to make the arm easier to pull. Right now its like 40lbs of pull, and then you have to push the arm back to get it to go back up. I got that book but didnt see anything about that.

yea, I've ordered that book. I opened the machine up, took out the inside. I am trying to determine if its the real deal. I think it is, mostly. Though some of the parts look newish, and one even has a stamp: Made in Japan. yikes. Someone must have fixed this up. The outside looks real...

Got this neat Mills 5c slot. On the reels, it has normal shapes, but also under each shape is a phrase. Like "I Will Marry" then the next reel has another phrase. You use all 3 reels to make a sentence. Has anyone ever heard of this? If not, maybe I should take some pics and post it. It...
