It says it is the deflection amplifier pcb I asume pcb is power control board it has the brightness and contrast pots on it along whith the x and y linearity pots

any one out there have a deflection amplifire pcb for a GO5-801 ELECTROHOME? or know someone that sells them I did not see them listed on bob roberts site

Score one it was a power prob. one of the trace's on EHT was bad. got to looking close and there are a few trace patches. game plays fine now that I patched the trace. some issues whith the letters though in hi score the letters have lines jetting off vertical and the (as) is lower than the...

Up date fixed a trace to a cap. on EHT board and game is up and working it has some lines in the letter's not right in hi score and the (AS) is lower than (TEROIDS) but game play seems fine thanks mongo, Ken Layton,Jaffamused :)

the game makes what I would call 3 lower beeps then higher louder chirps come on and stay on indefinite.reading the test procedure im not sure what that says any ideas? :confused:

on the deflection amplifier p.c.b. layout it shows two zener diodes under a4.5 ohm resistor and two zener diodes under a5.1 ohm resistor do you think the zener's are missing and should be there along with the resistor? it is just strange it was working before. mabe it was a fluke it was working...

There were four zener diodes that were not in the board when I bought it and it was working, instead they were bridged by a 5.1 OHM on the X side and a 4.5 OHM 10W resistor on the Y side. I did replace one diode but do not think it was supposed to be a zener. Does not call for a zener in my...

could it be a G05-801 that is the only # I can see

so is it the board whith all the ROMs if so the led light is bright and steady. the monitor is now pulsing a dim cross hatch whith one of the lines bright and what almost looks like a large player ship very dim also the led on the deflection amp does not seem to be lit at all

it is a G05 Monochrome "QUADRASCAN" by Electrohome Electronics.

I don't know if the horizontal outputs have been damaged, I will test them. The game came up and looked great other than the start on the screen had some broken lines but the ship and astroids were flying. After 2 minutes it went to the cross hatch test pattern without being switched. :confused:

Where is the damper diode located? And can it be tested in the board? :(

since I am a newbe can you tell me which board is the game board there is a light on the deflection board that pulses and there is a light on the ROM board that is on bright. When the game was working I think the deflection board LED was just on steady. :(

Okay, put a cap kit in my asteroids game and changed the filter caps on the bottom panel assembly and put new power transistors on the chassis. Turned it on, picture came up fine in attract mode for about two minutes, then the cross hatch pattern came up flasshing and the LED on the deflection...

does any one know how to test a deflection yoke and do you think it could be takeing out my chassis transistors :confused:
