Hi - just wanted to update that I sent Steve the board as referenced in this thread and 'voila' it's working perfect. Recommended for anyone with one of these fried boards.

Thanks for the advice - I pulled the boards and there is definitely some bad connections at the pins, some of the harness had melted and at some point someone bypassed it and soldered the wire directly to the pin, messy messy. I really love the artwork on this machine so I"m hoping I can get it...
