Woohoo! Success! My brother in law slathered more epoxy sealant on the outer floor seam and the leak stopped! It's raining hard and no more wet spots. He will apply some more when the weather passes just to be safe. Once the drywall gets patched and painted will be back in business to host...

Yes Scramble is another game I played as a kid. Really underrated gameplay and sounds…the bezel art never registered to my prepubescent gamer brain, back then 😂. Would really like to add a Popeye someday… then the circle will be complete!

To alleviate some of the stress of this leak…played a few games on the new addition and set the volume and dip settings… Added 2" casters atop 2x4's to account for the Stern cabinet recessed bottom. Game is sitting just inside the entrance. Might try moving stuff around to find a permanent...

Heh yes, water flows downhill to the left… the frustrating thing is having to open the drywall to be sure it wasn’t somehow leaking from above… On a positive note, the sealing done towards the middle of exterior seems to have resolved the water intrusion in the main part of the room :)

Thank you Wade. Yes so frustrating…That may be our next step if sealing doesn’t do the trick… But it’s a good amount of water. We have heavy rains passing thru SoCal, so was observing but couldn’t identify an obvious culprit. We are also on a hill with potential water running down the slope...

Ouff, the garcade is down to fix this pesky rain intrusion issue that's wetting the carpet in the Atari section. Water is clearly entering here. No indication it's coming from up top. Requested my brother in law to open this part of the wall to verify the same is true over here. Fabian...

FS Game: Mario Bros arcade game $2,450 (Portland, OR area)

Shoot this is a much nicer example than the one I bought last year. Would have jumped all over this if were still looking for one. Friendly bump and GLWS

adding casters to a cabinet, good idea?

Heh I cannot expound the merits of casters enough…

    Arcade: casters and cabinet leveling

Have used 2" non marring fixed casters from Home Depot or Lowe's for the rear and 2" swivels for the fronts for all my games. Secured them using SPAX brand self drilling screws and a portable drill.

What's the lifespan of somebody staying in the hobby?

I've been in the hobby for about 23 years. Finding time has been a constant challenge due to work, volunteerism and family…I'm all in for abit then mostly AWOL. It's looking like I'll be retiring soon and finally have time to enjoy this hobby on a daily basis.

Ouff…yesterday was beyond hectic. Borrowed my son's truck and smuggled Scramble in while Sara was at work. Intended to install casters (Stern cabinets have recessed bottoms requiring 2x4's to be installed first btw) but Sara's bosses let her off early, so ran out of time. Dunno how she...

Spending time in this hobby has imparted several lessons: Impulse buying is hard to control, especially when good deals pop up. As a consequence, Running out of space has always been a problem. It's good to have understanding friends to help out. ;) While the garcade is at max capacity…these...
