Zeno, Have you tried Mike at arcade-services.com? He was a midway tech, very helpful, I have spoken with him a few times about my boards. I believe he charges $40 to bench and $75 and hour for his work. If he is already on here and you have already considered him, I apologize.

Just for completeness sake of this thread, I had tried switching only UG12 and UJ12 and it failed all of the boot roms at start up except UJ/UG 16 and 19. You must switch them all with the exception of UJ/UG 16 and 19. Thanks for offering the help though.

While you were replying I was inspecting my board downstairs. I have a chip puller and saw that it was indeed a socketed IC, so I switched the 2 chips put the game back together and voila a perfectly working nba jam TE. Thanks all for the help. Wish I had asked sooner.
