  1. AC volts on Atari Boards?

Guys, why do you all reply without any Atari knowledge? The Atari transformer-> AR outputs 10.3vAC for the 5v DC line. Stop trying to help if you really have no idea, as you end up sending people on the wrong path... Andy
  2. Taito Space Invaders Backlight question

The Taito model requires a tube # F15T8BL350 which is an 18 inch 15w UVA Flykiller/white black light. It most certainly isn't white and would look stupid if you put one of those in.
  3. Taito Space Invaders Cocktail ??

Being a Taito cocktail, firstly I have to ask are you sure you're providing the right voltage? I would imagine it's either setup for 240 or 100v not 110/120v. Secondly, that cap looks like it's just a bypass cap, probably blown from too much voltage.
  4. school me please! Jamma connector

    You mean like this -> http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=CEC56 ?
  5. Atari "Big Blue" capacitor

I replace all old electrolytic caps, especially power filter/regulator caps and see no good reason why you shouldn't. They are fairly cheap in the scheme of things, they are really the only noteworthy electrical component that ages. The environmental argument doesn't wash with me, you probably...
  6. New Member UK

Hi Chaps, I'm in the UK too, London to be precise. I found my holy grail machine a good few years back (Track and field) and since then seem to have amassed way more than I have room for. I joined UKVAC a few months back but haven't had the time to introduce myself there yet. Good luck with...
  7. Centering Grommets: Taito, Midway, Stern Samples arrived

Great work g3n3r1c! Would you be willing to ship to the UK if I get a big enough order to make it worth while? Cheers, Andy
  8. What machine does this control panel belong to?

Amazing stuff! Thanks so much, I have been searching for hours! Cheers, Andy
  9. What machine does this control panel belong to?

Hi Chaps, I have seen a taito cocktail table (1979-82 era) with no gameboard inside or documentation. The only way of identifying it is from the control panels. Unfortunately, I have only been provided the low res image attached, any experts recognise the diamond shapes around the joystick or...
  10. My first Sanyo ez cap kit - went from jailbars to vert collapse

Remember you can usually check transistors to some degree with a multimeter. Check for continuity/closed circuit as you would for each pair of diodes in the transistor, it's not a perfect test but it gives you a good idea.
  11. Need a list for a cap kit?

Fair enough. All I was asking for was some recognition for peoples efforts, I didn't really think it was a big deal, it happens everywhere else on the web!
  12. Need a list for a cap kit?

I'm sure you did have a big angry reply speech, but are you seriously saying you can't grasp my point? You don't have to get all defensive stating other people will supply my diagrams, that wasn't my point. Let me provide a few examples. Say for example I decide all monitor manuals should be...
  13. Looking for monitor specs: Pentranic 1131 33"

Are you sure that's the chassis number? I have seen Pentranic CH-288 Chassis being used with 33" CRT Tubes
  14. Need a list for a cap kit?

Whilst you add cap lists to your site yourself which is very admirable. You can't steal information from other sites however well you try to justify it. The whole point of the web is freedom of information as long as it's referenced. If you copy cap lists from various other sites by claiming...
  15. Double Dragon roms check out ok but then nothing

From memory, Double dragon uses multiple processors, a motorola 6809 being at least one of them, connect a MM positive lead to pin 7 and the -ve to GND to see what you get.
