Installed the IL joysticks and did a quick play of SF Alpha and yup, can confirm doing fireballs and dragon punches are waaaaaaaaaay easier. it's night and day.

Yeah trying to get a dragon punch out is next to impossible and I know how to play these games really well. Hopefully the sticks will be a big improvement.

I just ordered some IL joysticks and some IL buttons with real cherry switches. I think I kinda skimped out the parts when I did the original restoration. The default switches on the buttons are a little meh. I will see how these play out when I get them in a week or so.

I did a test and for sure my 2P joystick has less work on it compared to the 1P joystick. My 1P sounds very springy when you snap it and let it return to center. My 2P has no such sound.

I am not sure if the frame skipping is causing me to miss fire balls and dragon punches but I find it very tough to pull these off ( I am coming from Street Fighter 4 ). I do notice I am not a big fan of the Happ competition joysticks with the bat tops. I got too used to the Sanwa with ball tops...

Yeah they were a mess. friend helped solder wires for the tracers it was annoying.

Yup, did nothing. Even swapped this out. Also checked the traces underneath which had some colder solder points. Fixed that as well. still no luck. Fixed these cold solder points with wire
