Thanks guys. I'll go ahead and do it. Does anyone know of a good guide to properly adjusting these monitors after a re-cap? I have brighness all the way up and still have some convergence at different points in the monitor and was wondering if there was a good guide to tuning these monitors...

Looks like the previous owner switched that cap out before I installed the kit. No idea when or for what reason. Do you think I should put the one out of the kit in or leave it? Thanks again for the perfect answer to my Q.

I really appreciate the info. It looked like a child had done the work and with some discolouration on the board I thought it was a repair. I plugged everything back in and it looks better. Not amazing... but better. I have to get better at adjusting everything I think. Are there good sites...
