Here's a video that I just uploaded of the auction.
Being that it was the last Super Auction in Detroit. It looked pretty sad.
Enjoy!

Yep... that was me with the DVDs.
Youtube let me clean up some of the shakiness of the original. (Looks like I have a steadycam!)
Once I find the videos from the other auctions I will post them.
I still have the $5 jukebox I bought at that auction.

I've been going through my old home movies and came across footage from this auction.

I still laugh at those 14 BINGO games that went for $1 each.

Yes, I'm a little late to the party.
Someone posted about this book on CGCC (Canada) so I downloaded the kindle version (once I figured out how to read it on my Android Tablet.)
Damn You! I don't get enough sleep at night because I'm up reading this book! It's totally engrossing. I've been...
Cool! Thanks for the follow-up!
I replaced the capacitor for the flasher tube/bulb in hope that was the problem and it stopped working all together!
When I get a chance, I'll have to check the fibre cable.

Just did a search on rec.games.pinball.
I guess they haven't been paying people that have brought in games to sell. (And these posts were from back in January.)
Oh well, they were fun to go to and there were some deals to be had. (i.e. $5 for a working Seeburg juke with records.) Plus the...
Anyone had problems with their Quick & Crash losing the brightness of the gun as the game progresses?
The unit uses a xenon bulb via a fibre optic cable to shoot the target. It's kinda like a camera flash.
My theory is that the cap that charges and fires the bulb is going bad and can't handle...
Anyone know what has happened to Super Auctions?
I noticed the other day that their auction calendar hasn't been updated since May.
I tried to call them but the phone line has been disconnected.
I know times are tough but man... I always thought I could count on them.

Now, now... be nice.
Yep... there is usually a set price for a buy back... that's probably why the guy eventually allowed his Rollercoaster Tycoon to be sold... I don't think he'd make a mistake on buying it back... just second thoughts about what he wanted for it and how much of a pain it...
Ancient Chinese Secret!
Actually... at Superauction, the people that bring stuff in typically are given a bid number in the very low 100's. Most of the pinballs were purchased by #104 & #106. This doesn't nessassarily mean that they are buying back their stuff... they could be just buying...
Here are the results and comments that we were able to obtain.

P.S. Sorry Drewster... didn't want to jump on your thread.
I can't believe how bad this auction was... we drove from Toronto area and stayed at a hotel... we knew we were in trouble when we showed up the night before and only saw about 1/8 of the games that were supposed to be there!
BTW... I was the other guy in the green sweatshirt writing down...
