  1. Powersupply (520-5047-02) - To high voltages.

Looks like he was right, only one more coil to sort out, not sure if the coil itself is bad, or something else is shorted out. Got a new coil on order, so will change it anyway, the old one has been hot, and now it stinks :)
  2. Powersupply (520-5047-02) - To high voltages.

Not even close, but maybe i will order from that site anyway. Any ideas regarding the cpu board, and why the coils are locking on and transistors are blowing, during coil testing some of the flashers started flashing instead, but the L/R Relay on the PPB works fine.
  3. Powersupply (520-5047-02) - To high voltages.

Good news, the power supply works, it was the D11 Zener, guess the new one ive installed was defect. Bad news is the PPB board is blowing TIP36C, Q3 and Q4, and the coils and diodes are okay. Q40 on the CPU board also blows, so it look like the CPU board is damaged. Predrivers are checked and...
  4. Powersupply (520-5047-02) - To high voltages.

Yea, all the resistors was in spec except one which was a bit low so i changed that., it should have been 1.5 kohm, but it was 1.3. I had no luck finding the .1 uF caps anywhere, but if that power supply still not works after D6 has been changed then its going to junk, and i will buy another one.
  5. Powersupply (520-5047-02) - To high voltages.

I must confess no i did not, but they are on order, and will change them as soon the parts arrive. I think that D6 is good because the +68 is perfect, its just the other two voltages that are giving me grief.
  6. Powersupply (520-5047-02) - To high voltages.

Not much input. Well im trying to change D11 and D10 again tomorrow, if it still shows the same voltages its going in the trash, and i will order a new one.
  7. Powersupply (520-5047-02) - To high voltages.

Hi guys. Im trying to figure out what is wrong with my power supply from my Jurassic Park, the bridge rectifier died, and the high voltage died, bridge rectifier has been changed and +5 volt is back, found a few dead zener diodes in the high voltage D9/D10/D11, and a dead TR4 (MJE15031)...
  8. Jurassic Park Restoring.

That machine is starting to cost me a lot of money, been out shopping today and got a new set of legs, and some mixed nuts and bolts that was missing. Only things missing now is a sound board and a new piece of glas for the backbox. Regarding that with the R8 getting hot, i can see there is...
  9. Jurassic Park Restoring.

Thanks, so something is wrong on my Jurassic, well i guess it should not be that easy :)
  10. Jurassic Park Restoring.

It first happens on mine when the game is playing, in attract its pretty cold.
  11. Jurassic Park Restoring.

Stangbat, Can i ask you for a favor ? Turn on the Jurassic Park machine you got, take a game, and tell me if R8 on the PPB board is getting HOT, mine is around 84 degrees celsius. Game is working fine, all the flashers, coils, that resistor just gets extremely hot in a short period of time.
  12. Jurassic Park Restoring.

No worry, schematics can be a pain, last project was a Playmatic machine, the schematics for that was a mess. Will check the wires later, its just a bit fun that the only coil not working is the knocker. Any ideas on why R8 on the PPB board is getting so hot, im not sure that can be right.
  13. Jurassic Park Restoring.

Its Q46, Q48 is a totally different type of transistor. Q46 checks out good, same with the predriver, as for know the knocker coil is just disconnected, would like to get everything else fixed first. Got the T-Rex working, and its now eating the balls as it should and moves from side to side...
  14. Jurassic Park Restoring.

Knocker coil was good, but the diode was shorted out, problem is now when turning on the machine coil is locked on, so something else is broken, faults just keep coming in :)
  15. Jurassic Park Restoring.

Good news is flashers and coils are working perfect, bad news is R7 on the PPB board got very very hot, has to figure out what that controls, and why it got so hot after only 5 minuttes of running.
