From what I gather, if you see a single line in the center of your moinitor (fold over), it means there is a problem in either the X or Y circuit. If fuses are blowing, it means something is shorted. If the spot killer is on, something is still "broke". That's about all I understand at this...

I think each kind of transistor tests a bit differently. The important thing (in diode mode) is that readings only happen in one direction, and are not 0.000 Having them swapped probably caused some other components in your board to fail.. hopefully those things you've all ready caught. Me...

Tonight I ripped out D606, D706, D607, and D707 1N914's. All tested fine once pulled. I replaced them all with new ones (they were all ready pulled so why not). Tested the new ones again in circuit, and those diodes all report two way readings. Tomorrow I suppose I'll be pulling some of...

Maybe I shouldn't write things while craving breakfast :D The diodes I speak of are D706, D707, D606, and D607. All four of these are IN914's, and are all exhibiting diode readings going both directions. Other In914's on the board do not seem to do this.. I thought maybe it was just there...
