As title says, I have a nintendo donkey kong with no hole drilled for a lock ???
The wood look likes the rest of the back area wood..the scuff marks match..the vent at the bottom matches online pics and even has what's left of monitor instructions sheet on the door....but why no hole for the...
Who's cap kit did you use?
It honestly looks like bad cap. Might be a failing pot on the chassis as well. Maybe Deoit the pots and work them back and forth a bit. Let dry them fire it back up.
I'm hoping someone can help here...It starts about 5 mins after turning on the game.
I've done the usual things to try and fix this, cap kit, fly-back and HOT and a thorough solder re-flow
but this is still happening. any other suggestions on what may be causing this??

I've been chasing this issue off and on for few months now.
At first it was random now it's doing it all the time.
Ive checked voltages, cleaned pins, reflow solder reseated chips and yet this still remains!
The fact is was intermittent at first and now constantly acting up leads me...
