I just acquired a Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. I don't know very much about these machines. This appears to be the Japanese version, and has Japanese artists, and certain messages are in Japanese only.
Is there a way to make this machine more english friendly? Is there a U.S. version of...
Ok. I did the cap kit, and as expected, it did not fix the curl problem. So, I followed the instructions mentioned earlier to fix the curl on G07 monitors. Everything looked exactly as shown in those instructions. But, when I got finished, the curl was still there and worse than before.

This is the one I just got from Bob Roberts for my Pac-man...It fixed my hum bar problem.
Not sure if its the same for Ms. Pac, but I guess it probably is.

That sounds like it could be the case with mine. I will install the cap kit and see if that makes any difference. Hopefully my cap kit will come with the extra cap as well. I ordered it from Bob Roberts.
I've got a Super Off Road Track Pack 3 player that I'm looking to replace the board set in. Either the original or Track Pack boards would be fine. Also, I would consider buying a non-working board as well.
Well, I'm up for a good challenge. I've got 3 or 4 other cap kits to do, so I will do them first.
I just got started in this hobby, but I really want to learn. So, if I screw up on one monitor then I'll just chalk it up to the cost of learning. But hopefully things will go smoothly.
I also have a standard upright Pacman that has the 4600 in it. I ordered a cap kit for it too. I've never done a cap kit before, so this will be new to me.
I just acquired this pacman cabaret a few days ago. On the right side of the screen the image kind of curves upward (see pic).
Any ideas what causes this or how to fix?
Thanks.
I think the problem was there were too many to choose from:
-- But the problem I worry with now is my wood
-- I need to trim my new wood just a little so it will fit.
-- The wood doesn't look that stong to me
-- I used Oak 6" Which my other wood was 6".
-- Should I be worried about it...
I have the monitor and chassis out of a space invaders and on a table for testing. I was thinking when I get ready to re-install it, I would first discharge it and was planning to use the house ground...
So, if the monitor is out of the cabinet, what's the best ground to discharge too? still...
Yea, it seemed pretty steep to me too...but, I was willing to pay it as a last resort.
Thanks for the link Mark. I will have to see if I can come up with some items to meet the $20 min...but I would rather do that than pay $12 shipped for one.
Edit: whoops..I missed the Jameco link..I might...
