Hey, I got distracted and just getting back to this project. I also got some advice on how to do this for automatic negative sync:
“You can use a XOR circuit seen in VGA to SCART things to convert polarity to whatever is needed automatically. The general idea is that you feed direct sync to...
Great thanks for the suggestion, I saw some old school VGA monitors schematics and they use 7486 chips to do their sync processing. (Different resolutions used different sync polarities)
I ordered some 7486 chips to try out.
Thanks, however if this circuit is fed negative sync will it invert back to positive? If so, is there any way to add some smarts to the circuit to pass negative sync signals as is and only invert positive to negative?
Hi, I have a fixed resolution monitor that only accepts negative sync for both H and V. Is there a circuit I can build that does:
If source sync is positive, circuit flips to negative.
If source sync is negative, circuit passes sync asis.
Thanks!
Hi, I have an Asteroids cocktail that has an issue with the video output, whether in game or on the test screen. The vectors are distorted, it seems only in the Y direction. I tried re-seating the connector and a few chips. I also checked and adjusted the board voltage to ~5.075V.
I plan to...
Hi, selling my Sega Turbo Cabaret. It is in good working condition. Monitor has been re-capped, all sounds and graphics work as well. High score save kit installed. CRT has some light burn in from a different game. Cabinet is in OK shape, no water damage, but side art is missing (or was...
I missed this post, but I sent you a PM anyway.
I am still looking for this chassis. I have a 13" Turbo, but would probably be interested in any of the variations. Please PM me if you have one,
Thanks!
Yes, just unplug the harness from one PCB and swap to other.
Price now $450. I also replaced the gas pedal control pot and re wired the connection to the main harness.
Hi, I am selling my stand up Off Road Challenge game. Works good, just recapped monitor with new flyback and it looks great! I have a Cruisin USA PCB I usually play on it, but the original Off Road Challenge PCB is what is bolted to the machine now. I also have a new gas pedal pot I will...
