  1. Price Check: Dedicated Virtua Tennis

It looks like that one. I'm not sure if it's a Naomi cart or GD-Rom though. I was curious on how much they usually go for. Thanks for the tip on the size though! Thanks
  2. Price Check: Dedicated Virtua Tennis

    Anyone know? Thanks!
  3. Local Repair - Chicago Suburbs (Monitor Trouble)

I was wondering if anyone in the western suburbs repairs video games? I've been having some trouble with my Hantarex Polo monitor and could use some help(the monitor won't boot up). Cap kit was replaced about a year ago so I'll assume it's something else. Please PM me. Thanks
  4. Do I dare try a CAP KIT?

Thanks for the response Mongo. Yeah you were right I just rocked it around lightly and it was off! Well the reason I took out my board is because the monitor is dead. Here are two pictures of the board. I did a cap kit less than a year ago so I doubt it has anything to do with those...
  5. Do I dare try a CAP KIT?

Hey I have a quick question regarding discharging a monitor. I took off the anobe cap and correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the neck board supposed to come off too with the rest of the monitor board? If so what is the trick to take it off? I am having trouble. Thanks! BTW it's a Hanatrex Polo
  6. Where can I get a specific fuse?

OK I found a place online. Thanks for the help though guys! Mouser
  7. Where can I get a specific fuse?

I'm looking for a 4A 125V SB small fuse and can't find it anywhere. I went to Radio Shack and a hardware store, nothing. Where should I look? Thanks
  8. Power Supply

No it's actually a Hantarex Polo 25" There is a small fuse on the monitor board. It looks fine but who knows.
  9. Power Supply

OK I unplugged the monitor first and the light came on with the machine(No fuse blown). Checked the DC voltage and it was fine, 5+ was at about 5.03 and 12+ was at about 12.10. I forgot to check the AC, is that ok that I only checked the DC? Did the opposite and unplugged the light and plugged...
  10. Power Supply

Nope. It didn't blow after I unplugged the monitor and marquee light. What does that mean?
  11. Power Supply

OK I checked the AC power and nothing again. I found out I did have a fuse blown (on the isolation transformer 3A 250v Slowblow) and replaced it. Turned on the machine and the same fuse blew again. When I did turn it on I could hear the game trying to start up but with the fuse blowing...
  12. Power Supply

Ken, let me just say thank you for your detailed response. Am I supposed to test using the multimeter on the power supply or should I be testing it at the pcb? I tested both and I am getting a reading of 0.00 for everything. I'm assuming the power supply is dead then. I'll start by replacing...
  13. Power Supply

Sorry about not posting a picture or telling the specifics. It is a dedicated MK II. Here is a picture: I was just asking if I replace the power supply, don't I just have to put the wires back into place?
  14. Power Supply

Well this is why I am on this board, to ask questions and to understand. I don't want to jump into this. That is why I am asking questions beforehand.
  15. Power Supply

If I purchase a new power supply don't I just have to screw back in all the wires to the +5, +12, etc? What would I need to solder? About replacing a part on the power supply, wouldn't one of the parts probably be noticable as to what is broken? Isn't there a fuse in the PS, and is that ever...
