Generally when I start the machine everything is fine but during play at some point the sound will all of a sudden turn ridiculously loud and become very distorted. Is this some sore of grounding problem or is my power supply going bad??? Please help!!

I Picked up a Dark Stalkers game at an auction in St. Louis not so long ago. As far as I know it was only a kit game and is pretty rare. The one I bought is the only one I had ever seen in person. The cabinet on mine is in pretty sad shape and I plan to move the game to a different one soon.
