Point blank 2 is working perfectly. Point blank 1 is working great except P2 recoil doesnt work yet. I have confirmed the emi pcb is not the issue it works on both games.
I see there is a smc4060 transistor onthe v147 position pcb that drives thd gun recoil so i replaced it but i am still...
Plugged it in and they actually work! The solenoids are weaker than i remember. I think any or all these things are happening:
1 my gun harness cable is too long or has a few points of sub-optimal contact.
2 the gun solenoids are from aliexpress and are just inherently weaker.
3 the gun...
Well i did my best to match colors but i would definitely call the harness ive made a "best intentions hackjob". With that said, i can plug into a jamma harness and the game plays, clip in a 15 pin molex to bring the guns online, clip in a 2 pin molex and the recoil works and clip in a 3 pin...
The lamp and solenoids do not get grounded the way you are used to. It is different from how the buttons and optic sensor and video signals are grounded. You hookup the +power and the control pins act as the "grounds" (which will open/close per game logic).
The solenoids are fed with +24v...
In my midway dynamo cabinet the L speaker diaphragm is torn and i want to replace it. Anyone know what ohms these things are?
A reading across the leads on the multimeter came back 7.3, i assume that means 8 ohms?
Totally forgot i had a service manual for point blank 2. Heres a Waaayyyyyyyyy better schematic picture for Point Blank 2 than what ive been finding online. Interesting they say 22awg for power runs but 18ga for almost everything except that
After some staring, it appears I have the video pins on the wrong side of the jamma board. d'oh!
Flipped the pins and we are playing!!!
Next up, i have to make the 15 pin harness that goes from j105 on the EMI pcb to the guns and start button lamps. I have a WTB thread here for this...
Progress:
I was able to wire up the Namco v147 & v218 EMI PCBs to a jamma card, but the video sync is not working. I can see the image, and the colors are correct, but its rolling and not syncing. Any advice? If I plug the board direct into the JAMMA edge it works no problem. both the 147...
So I am wiring up a point blank 2 with the v218 emi board to a jamma fingerboard. I plugged it into a jamma cab and the service wire imediately got hot and melted. Had it on for about 2 seconds. I have it wired per the schematic in the manual with A6 on the 20 pin connector and i wired it to...
