Good News Everyone!!!! I got it working I did the vbatt mod from this thread and bingo it's all good! I did the button battery mod a while back that included adding a diode so I think I was getting too much voltage through the vbatt to the chip I tested it at the molex and was getting 6.3v and...

I check the Chip and everything looked good I bent them all in a little just to be sure and I still get the same result I put the original chip back in and everything works fine arrggg!

Thanks cdjump! I'm getting 4.57v at the roms and that does seem low I get 5.0v at the molex on the PS now I get mostly a white screen with so random garbage I'll double check the legs on the new chip

i86time, Thanks for the reply! I'll try the red button on the SSIO I know this is stupid question but how does one "power cycle" is that a fancy way of saying turn it off and on again? which NVRAM chip are you using? Tom, couldn't get back to it till today I'll let you know

battery back up ram OK, I replaced the 1661 chip from B2 (inner board) with a M48Z02-70PC1 I fired it up and I get a "RAM ERROR B2" The Board is getting 4.92 v well within the ram chips range 4.75-5.5v I can't get my voltage above 4.92 any other adjustment besides the VR 102 pot? Any ideas?
