fixed
Thank you all for the suggestions. Better late than never but I wanted to post the solution. There was a small intermittent break in the coil wire going to the solinoid. I was able to repair the wire and now it works well. Thanks again for the help.
Anyone ever converted a sega bass fishing deluxe model (with the 50" rear projection TV for a monitor" to a newer LCD monitor? It has the funky red blue green connections that are not standard and I'm not sure how to pull the video into a standard VGA or HDMI if its even possible.
Thank you...

I did talk to my sales person @ happ and she said they don't offer a replacement LCD for this particular cabinet. If you have seen or heard different and you can get me a part number and I'll check it out.

I'll give that a try in a couple hours thank you. I'm still not quiet sure which button your referring to as the "test" button though. The button located on the logic board near the RTC chip? Or inside the coin door. Are they the same? I'm assuming the one on the board but clarify if you...
Perhaps it is possible one of your CRT adjustment pots is bad. If your turning pots and it makes no difference at all maybe your horizontal or vertical adjustment pot has a faulty soldier joint or just failing.
Are you talking about pressing the test button on the logic board itself next to the RTC chip? If so, at what point do you press during the boot process...when the error is displayed? Or are you talking about test/service switch in the coin door? So I'm getting the "security code error" are...
