I have a rebuilt K7500 I'm having issues with.
It came from a Crusin USA 25', had it pulled, put into a 27' with the pincushion board, eventually had it recapped and redone. Didn't have a need for a 27' medium res anymore but had another Crusin come up, 25' Wells Gardner without a chassis...
Saw a couple dealers asking $600+ on eBay when working cabs go $750 to a little more it seems. Non-working ones go $120-150 though I see, I'd go between $200 and $300 for a working board; have the sound and driving boards, these are good, so I'd just need the program board.
FYI the 19 and 25 inch glass marquee are the same. I bought one from quarterarcade.com last year that was tagged as a 25 and it's a perfect replacement for my 19 inch dedicated cabinet.
19' Smash TV; does it have an isolation transformer factory installed?
I'm new-ish to monitors so pardon me if this seems like a stupid question.
I have a Smash TV 19' unit that had a bum monitor when I got it a few years ago. Dropped a G07 in it, wired a new power cable, and it was good for...
OK, finally sitting back down to work on this. Gave a new flyback a shot, the smaller fuse was blown and replaced that, and still, nothing powers on for the monitor, no spark off the flyback on removal so no juice to the FB if I understand right? Means that other flyback might be OK?
Pics tonight.
Pics will follow; to answer:
- Rebuild was caps, flyback, HOT and fuses. Not the VR cap.
- Positions on caps were/are just fine. Double, triple, and quadruple checked before first power up and am sure there were no issues there. Well aware of the reversed/improperly marked screenings and...
Oooo...travel at all? Can't quite get away for the full trip, but I know with Labor Day coming up lots of folks travel to my neck of the woods (Ludington, on the west coast). Possible to meet you somewhere if so?
G07 CBO - First time, getting going but a little rough...
Finally bit the bullet and decided to learn how to do monitors. Have several G07 CBO 19' so I set to work on my Galaga; it JUST burned up, which was part of the reason for the decision.
Got the tools assembled, got a Bob Roberts rebuild...
