Just scored a real nice Skeeball Extreme and everything suprisingly works! Well, except the sound. The sound coming out of the speaker is very garbled and distorted. Speaker looks ok and the connector going to the logic board looks ok. Any one have any idea some other things to check on...

Its a pretty decent shape Asteroids cab and Im not getting anything on the monitor except an LED on the chassis board, and no sound except some light crackling. The PCB has the LED lit. Any ideas?

hey i gotta a real nice asteroids im workin on and the monitor/chassis looks in pretty darn good condition. I power it up, marquee lights come on, the LED on the PCB and the monitor chassis board come on, but i get nothing but a crackle in the speaker and a sort of small buzz from the moitor...

Can i swap a monitor chassis/tube from asteroids to space invaders deluxe?? So I took the B&W WG V2000 out of my asteroids and it appears as though it will work in my SID. SID had a kv700a/M5000 chassis, asteroids is a WG v2000 chassis, but the tube is the same so i figure it will work, right...

amperex all cleaned up

HOLY CRAP! it was just dirt! it wiped right off!! I swore it was a burned spot. man, your advice + 409=awesome! now i just need a yoke!!

PS-the amperex does look like its in pretty good shape, but by "burn" i meant the crescent looking shadow on the top half of the screen. That isnt a shadow. It looks like its been damaged or something but if thats ok, ill plan on reusing it seeing as it is the original that came with it. thx...
