    Atari A/R III with a burnt C18

I’m repairing an A/R III board and noticed C18 is cooked. The parts list for it says it’s a 0.1uF 50v Ceramic Cap but it looks more like zener diode. Does anyone know exactly what it is?

    No Neck Glow - Sharp Image/Kortek KT-2725

I have a KT-2725 that has good B+ but no neck glow. I checked the manual and the troubleshooting chart just says to "check filament circuit". I'm not sure how to find that circuit from the schematics. Can I just check the heater voltage at the flyback or neckboard if I know the heater pin and...

G07-CBO - No Vertical or Horizontal Sync

Nothing worse than following a thread only to have the OP disappear and never share what the solution was. So frustrating! They were all new. You're right. Might be time to make the investment and grab one.

G07-CBO - No Vertical or Horizontal Sync

I decided to change out X301, X302, X305, X306 and IC501 again (3rd time) and the sync locked in perfectly. Unfortunately I have no idea which of those fixed it. Also, for some reason pin 2 on IC501 was still 3v+. This one still has me wondering what exactly happened. Thanks everyone for the help!

G07-CBO - No Vertical or Horizontal Sync

I noticed that when I would push down on the H. Freq and V. Hold pots, it would slow down and almost stop but wouldnt lock in. Changing sync plug to the other connector on both the chassis and the TPG did nothing. Not even a hiccup.

G07-CBO - No Vertical or Horizontal Sync

Reflow didnt fix it. Swapped with another new IC501. Still no change, pin 2 of IC501 is still at 3.5v+. Pulled and tested every mylar cap in that side of the circuit also. All good.

G07-CBO - No Vertical or Horizontal Sync

I didnt initially but when I tested them out of the circuit they were fine. Yes. It tested good.

G07-CBO - No Vertical or Horizontal Sync

X401 and X402 both tested good. So far all of the resistors in the 400's that i've tested are good except for R411 (22K) and R412 (27K). They both read around 15-16k. Not sure if thats bad enough to be an issue.

G07-CBO - No Vertical or Horizontal Sync

This is Ken's readings from the original post. My readings are at the end (=value). The only one that looks way off is the Vert Amp Output. Should be .955 but mine is 3.58? Ken's readings = My readings --------------------- 1: 4.0 volts (phase compensation) =...
