I also just realized...I have a 'waste bin' underneath my repair bench that is pretty close to my new 'radiation meter'. I'll empty it and see if this darn meter stops glowing RED! ;)

The company finally called me back and said because of today's date.....the radiation is harmless and probably just some nutjob who has a NASA Phone where you can talk to the astronauts and has converted half of his machine shop to an engraving center just so he can make cool looking old school...

Strange topic I know! I was recently doing some research on radiation levels in the home environment and was actually kind of surprised this really existed. This research actually proved to me that beyond electromagnetic field radiation (EMFR) levels like the endless concerns over cell phones...

For the last few years I have been restoring vintage engraving equipment (no CNC). From the precision cutter/grinders, the actual engravers themselves to sharpening/tipping the carbide and HSS cutters. I'm finally to the point where I have converted part of my machine shop over to engraving...

You know it is bad when you pull a backup PCB with a 'Repaired & Working' tag with my very own initials, a 2006 date and when you test the board it has multiple failures. LOL. Not LOL....dammit....
