I wish I had pictures from BITD but I never thought of carrying a camera at 8-12 years old. Plus most of the pictures would be hazy from all the cigarette smoke I remember.
This thread reminds me of when I got my discharging tool from Bob Roberts. It was part of a rather large order. My wife texts me "Who in the hell is the real Bob Roberts because you just got a couple large boxes from him?". I told her it was arcade stuff and the quality was way better than the...
Replay is awesome. My wife likes to go to Tarpon Springs for a day when we're down there. To me it's a tourist trap with the same junk in each store. I discovered Replay and then would drop her off and pick her up when she was done. I've never seen four hours fly by like that. Well of course...
I knew right after I posted my comment that I would be asked this. That's a tough one. I guess I could say that of all the joystick only games Frogger would be my favorite, but I haven't played an actual arcade version since BITD and it's a game that I would never own. I've played it on MAME a...
For the games I have, I'd have to say Sinistar and Space Invaders Deluxe, they both kick my ass but I keep playing them. As far as games I don't have anything with Pac Man in the name. I never liked them BITD and I still won't play them today. I was never a fan of games that just use a joystick...
I played both in the arcades and I've owned both, but I've always liked Galaga better since the first day I played it. Both are incredible games in their own way and a part of arcade history.
Just depends on how much time you want to put into it. Mine has a little on one side, but you can't see it in the arcade. I don't know why I keep playing it when it kicks my ass every time.
It sneaks up on my building really slow, then all of the sudden it just smells exactly like the 80s. It's not strong enough to choke someone it just makes it obvious that those machines have seen a lot of smoke. I have eight machines and one pin in my arcade.
This is a shame and the first I heard of it. Any background on why? I'm assuming he wants to spend more time with his family since that's extremely important to him. Will he keep making things through Arcadeshop and just close his site down or will he be 100% out of the game?
No I should have phrased it better. My arcade smells like cigarettes after ten minutes. I smoked cigars because I couldn't stand the smell of cigarettes, but even if I have a rare one now it's outside or in the garage.
