Interesting in the retaining bracket and the z bracket for a Mortal Kombat if you still do them

I'm working on a NBA Jam project with 2 gaping holes in the front in need of coin doors. This is for a dedicated Midway cabinet.

For everyone's sanity that has the other board revision and has this issue....4G is the prom to replace. We just fixed one with the same issue.

$25?!? Buy that thing. At worst you put a couple hundred into it with restoration and the multi kit. Then flip it for $800-$900. The multi runs Burgertime. Everyone loves Burgertime.

Also...There are the 5 minute load times from the cassettes. It was an okay idea when it was new but proved to be a nightmare to keep running. Keep the cassette kits for novelty purposes and get the kit.

I cannot stress this enough.... Buy the Darksoft kit while you can. Don't do what most of us did years ago with the Widel kit...and wait. He didn't make more and vanished. Get this kit while it's available...

U1 needs blanked if it's causing the error.

There are 2 ram chips on the cpu board that go pretty often which cause the self test result not to display. Could be those.

I agree, the garbage looks a lot like a failed self test where it gives the ram position followed by a numeric value.

There are 2 ram chips on the cpu board which fail on a lot of them and cause the game to fail the self test and display nothing or garbage. Boot the game in test mode, occasionally that will display a rom or ram issue of it finds it in the check it runs.

Actually... Pre Braze kit, so there is a difference.

Anyone ever see one do this? I found a bad rom on the video board, replaced it and it's less ugly. Swapped z80s, same result. Swapped ribbon cables, same deal. Tried the Braze kit to look for ram issues, same. Voltages are good, I have another that works in the cabinet and with the Braze kit.
