That looks more like a horizontal sync issue, you need to fine tune horizontal sync control.
50/60Hz pot is more of a wrap around on the edge.
It is ok to adjust both (not using a metal screwdriver) to see if you can get it better. It is good to try and remember where they are before you adjust any of them in case you need to go back to that position.
