Ryan23 is prob me - orion3311! No issue though it looked like you had your hands full even during the short time I was there- no doubt you're beat. Great meeting you Richie!

Fun place, fun games, definitely had a real arcade atmosphere. The only thing I would suggest is maybe turning the volumes up a hair - they were ok but a couple like race drivin where you need to hear them was kinda tough. I'm also hearing impaired (deaf in right ear) so it could just be me too, but my buddy who hears fine mentioned the same thing.

Also - its very wierd leaving after playing Race Drivin, and getting into a stick shift car lol. Playing that game for the first time in a LONG time brought back a lot of memories!

Lastly - good talking to you Mundoman! Hopefully we can meet again sometime. I was hoping to meet other KLOVers but I kinda got there later in the day.

Oh, and before I forget - Yes I played Asteroids and nearly doubled the high score ;-) It wasn't very easy for some reason, the score was 11,8xx which is nothing on mine, but after a few games I left it at 21,xxx, and have the pics to prove it ;-) The difficulty must be set to kill on that thing or something.

I'm not sure about the scores, I'm sure Richie or Mark with post them. The tournament was still going on Sunday, and I wasn't there.

It was just great / AMAZING to watch people play a game for the 1 hour time limit.
Never thought I'd see someone play Frogger, DigDug, Robotron, ect for an hour straight. The ref's had to keep track of each player since many "flipped" the score a few times in an hour and had to be there to witness it.

I watched Tim Sczerby get 582,000 on one game of DK. I'm sure he could have gotten MUCH higher, but he was trying to get the most points on each board. It was amazing to watch!! I've never seen someone get so many points on each board. He would run down the ladders just to jump barrels he had already jumped on the girder above.
I always just rush through each board and get whatever points I can get.
But after watching Tim, I realize that to ever get the high score you need a Max score on each and every board/level. He had a tally sheet he made, that told him if he was on track for a high score by checking each level's score. Many times he was on track or was ahead but would get hit by a random barrel or an errant fireball.
Later, I watched someone else get 400,000 on DK but they just blew through each level and had way less points than Tim on each board, If they ever got to the kill screen they would have had WAY less points.

Again, I'm not sure how many others here have watched people of this caliber. BUT it was UNBELIEVABLE!!

I watched people clear screen after screen of DigDug at speeds I couldn't believe, they didn't seem to be concerned about lives since they had so many and only had 1 hour to play(they just seemed to be upset at wasting the few sec's if they did die). They would get 10,000 or much more just dropping rock's each board.

Frogger was another game I was blown-away watching. They ran around like it was PacMan, but it was between cars and on/off logs at full speed with no slowing down. Again I couldn't believe I was watching people play while the score flipped and would finally run out of the 1 hour time-limit

I mentioned Robotron before, I tried watching it, but there was so much going on I just couldn't even follow each board as people played for an hour at a time.

Richie, you should have taken that group shot on Saturday! Shucks!

Anyways, it was an amazing time. And yes, if you have never seen players like Don Hayes play before you are in for a mesmerizing experience. That guy can play EVERY game for over an hour.

I did a quick video tour of Richie's arcade during the tournament that I'll put up tonight. I also have a ton of pics.

Richie is beyond cool and his place ROCKS. I encourage everyone to make the trip. I am so going next year too I will see you next March!
